Understanding Site Visibility
Learn how to control who can see your site using visibility settings and preview links.
Overview
Cravo gives you control over your site's visibility. You can choose to:
- Online – Your site is publicly accessible to everyone
- Offline – Your site is hidden from the public
Even when offline, you can share your site privately using preview links.
Understanding Visibility States
Online (Public)
When your site is Online:
- Anyone with your site URL can view it
- Search engines can index your content
- Your site appears in search results (if SEO is configured)
Offline (Private)
When your site is Offline:
- Visitors see a "Site Unavailable" page
- Search engines cannot access your content
- You can still access your site via the dashboard preview
- Preview links still work for private sharing
💡 TIP
Use Offline mode while you're still building or updating your site.
Changing Site Visibility
- Go to your Dashboard
- Find your site card
- Look for the status toggle (Online/Offline switch)
- Click to toggle between Online and Offline
- Changes take effect immediately

Using Preview Links
Preview links let you share your site privately, even when it's offline.
Getting a Preview Link
- In your dashboard, click on your site
- Click the Preview button (eye icon)
- Your site opens in a new tab with a preview URL
- Copy and share this URL
Preview Link Features
- Works regardless of visibility setting
- Shows real-time content (not cached)
- Includes a preview banner at the top
- Great for getting feedback before going public

Best Practices
- Launch preparation – Keep site Offline while building
- Review changes – Use preview links to review before going live
- Scheduled launches – Set to Online when ready to go public
- Maintenance mode – Temporarily set to Offline for major updates
