Adding Breadcrumbs to Your Site

Learn how to enable and configure breadcrumb navigation to help visitors understand their location on your site.

Overview

Breadcrumbs are a secondary navigation aid that shows the path from the homepage to the current page. They help visitors:

  • Understand site structure – See where they are in the hierarchy
  • Navigate quickly – Jump back to any parent page
  • Improve SEO – Search engines use breadcrumbs for indexing

Enabling Breadcrumbs

  1. Go to your Dashboard → select your site
  2. Navigate to Content → Menus
  3. Find the Breadcrumb card
  4. Toggle the switch to ON
  5. Click Save Changes

How Breadcrumbs Work

Breadcrumbs automatically generate based on your page hierarchy in Craft:

text
1Home > Getting Started > Creating Your First Site

Each segment is clickable and links to that page.
